Let Them Eat Cake!

Finally! An excuse to get demonstrate those long unused skills from Home Ec 101.

It's time for the Great American Bake Sale

100% of the funs you raise go towards supporting after-school and summer feeding programs in your community. And, BONUS, you can finally do some good without training for a marathon or donating a huge chunk of your salary. I am using this as an excuse to try out a recipe for extra tart Lemon Bars!

Pleather Power

Remember when "Pleather" was code for "Cheap"? Well no longer ladies! These days it's a bold statement showing off your desire to save the earth. Moo Shoes apply a vegan label to their shoes to reinforce the notion that you are making a conscious choice to do right by our 4-legged friends. And if that doesn't stop buyers' remorse I don’t know what will!

Something to Roar About!

Hi all,

You know there's not much I love more than shopping for a good cause. Especially when we are talking about designer jewelry!

Lori Leavitt's Panthera Collection is giving 100 percent of profits to H.E.L.P. Malawi, a nonprofit dedicated to building schools for orphaned children in Africa. These lion-themed gems will look as good as they make you feel!

Make your Smart Friends Feel Less Smart

Hi all,

Ever feel like you have nothing to impress your "smart" friends with? There they are, waxing lyrical about the financial crisis, global warming or international politics and you're staring into your glass of Pino Noir wishing you hadn't quit smoking so you could legitimately excuse yourself for 15 minutes until the subject changed.

Well fret no more because Academic Earth is here! With top Ivy League professors lecturing on a wide range of topics you are sure to glean a few talking points for your next dinner party.

Where was this while I was in school?

American Package Design Awards

Hi all,

Did you know that RAW was recognized for its outstanding and progressive packaging with an American Package Design Award ?

The Raw team worked hard to develop a truly unique packaging for RAW. Their choice to laminate the paper stock to the board created a packaging line that is innovative in both design and functionality. It is made from 30% post-consumer materials and is very eco- friendly.

What do you think of the design?
